Speaking

Glenn Schoen regularly addresses national and international audiences on risk management issues. His 100+ speeches in 25+ countries have focused mainly on current threat trends and terrorism and security crisis drivers in particular. Most appearances are paid engagements, though he makes exceptions for select professional, corporate and civic audiences.

He draws presentation input from a diverse range of fields, notably academia, journalism and issue-specific institutes / think tanks, and uses the search for fresh, audience-specific input and quality  – in thinking, in data, in verification – as his guiding values.

He seeks to harness evolving insights and new knowledge to the greatest extent possible, and projecting issues forward (‘what might come next?’) is a recurrent feature in his presentations.

Core to his own didactic development, Glenn lectured for 10 years at Georgetown University’s Continuous Studies School (previously: School for Continuing Education), teaching three different policy courses on terrorism history, terrorism analysis and terrorism management between 1996 and 2007. He had the distinction of consistently attaining the entire university program’s highest evaluation ratings. He also taught two regular classes for professionals on crisis management for PinPoint Management and on major event threat analysis for Crowdcare.
